Quietly crash through the under-washed mirrored windows and sit in the
corner; we watch. Advertisers, two, one speaks, one repeats; they speak and
repeat to uncountables. Purposes are explained, reasons are questioned, talk
happens, hands are shaken from person to person, smiles are faked, souls are
locked outside with the coffee and women. The speaker sees a hole.
The man with the power is the hole; he is weak, he is hated, he is crushed
with friendly laughter, he loses. The advertisers can do their advert. He
will appear, he will eat from the toilet after it has been splattered then
cleaned - that is how strongly he has to pretend to believe in Product.
Product is like all other Product: it can be sold, but only a weak man would
use it as a defence between his mouth and the runny faeces of a fatter
member of the same sex. Excuse is sought. Excuse is unlike all other Excuse:
it may not be laughed at disbelievingly, yet allowed - this will not happen.
If Excuse were to be anything other than unquestionable, weakness would be
pulled to breaking point, break is the end, there is no comeback from break;
weakness will break soon - this much is inevitable - but it must not happen
because of a less than Excuse.
Product beats Excuse, weakness is stretched but doesn't have a beautiful
deathly saviour, weakness is toy of Product; advertisers, two, one speaks,
one repeats, work with uncountables to play with weakness with Product.
Weakness sits, smiling as eyes dart looking for Excuse, hoping Product
hasn't really beaten Excuse, hoping advertisers, two, one speaks, one
repeats, and uncountables don't have an unspoken alliance; weakness is wrong
is wrong. There is no Excuse, Product, advertisers, two, one speaks, one
repeats, and uncountables, all are raining down on weakness, drumming on the
thin stretched film of weakness, but saving the break until after.
Weakness cannot show weakness, even though all know. Weakness cannot cry:
crying would be the end of weakness, and weakness, although resigned to his
fate, is working at delay rather than survival. Weakness is crushed from all
sides, is driven by contrary motives, would like to cry but can't. Weakness
must help Product, even though Product attacks weakness; weakness would like
to find Excuse (which can't be found) even though this would hurt Product.
If weakness found Excuse and hurt Product, weakness might, might, be
stronger, even though Product's hurt would become manifest in weakness.
Weakness quits darting for Excuse when only the pained less than Excuse can
be found. Poor weakness.
Everything is wrong. Weakness can only hope to sustain the status quo until
Product is free and then be crushed from all sides. Product will feed off
weakness, advertisers, two, and uncountables will push Product to feed off
weakness. Weakness will break, will die.
