Hey, email me sometime eh?
Just sending you a quick note to warn you. Someone showed me your records
and you haven't been informing people when you've been told a dream. You're
about the only one who's not sent in the form even once, and they're gonna
be checking up on you real soon. You did get the letter about it, right?
Ages ago. The one on the grey paper. Umm... few months ago... six, seven
months? I dunno. Everyone got one. It was all over the news too - jeez, you
really should watch the news more than you do, y'know?
Ah, I suppose I'd better explain it to you just in case you didn't catch any
of it: they want to build up a simple psychological profile of everyone so
that they can identify potential problems before they happen. Cheapest way
to do it was to get people to write in any time someone told them about a
dream they had. I think there's an email address too; email me back if you
want it and I'll dig it out for you, ok? I mean, you're supposed to write in
every time someone tells you about a dream, but that just becomes
impractical. Just send in a couple a month or something, the good ones, the
ones that'll get people you don't like but who still tell you their dreams
in trouble. You really should just send in one at least 'cos they think that
you're opposing them; just write to them and say your friend dreamt about
having sex with your other friend, and they're now together for real, but in
the dream they stopped halfway through to have a sandwich. Please just send
them something, 'cos... well, I don't know what will happen, but you'd just
better do it, ok?
Oh, you know that guy who was with you last time? He told me a dream and I
wrote to them about that. It was so funny: he was the head on this huge
banknote, and people just kept spending him in one shop after another, and
every time they spent him he was folded up really small and put in the till,
but then he'd pop out the next time they opened the till and waddle down the
street as fast as he could with no legs, but eventually he'd be running into
the wind, and he wouldn't be able to carry on running, what with being a
huge giant un-aerodynamic banknote, and he'd collapse to the floor,
whereupon someone else would pick him up and drag him as a huge banknote
into another shop and spend him, so he'd get folded up really small again
and it'd all go on and on. He woke up eventually though. What's he doing
now? I've not seen him around in ages. Tell him I said hi.
Ummm... I guess that's it really. No news from this end. How are you doing?
Do write to them though, 'cos... well, they're keeping an eye on you, and
email me more please, cos I miss you, y'know? I know you're busy, but keep
in touch. But write to them first, even if you have to make something up.
Y'know, I'd hate for anything to happen to you. Write to them. Say
something.
